At the Spintelligent Metering, Billing, CRM/CIS Americas conference held in Chicago, IL during May 2003, over 450 registered attendees were treated to excellent presentations and exhibits. The event was sponsored by Elester, Excelergy, Itron, Kema, and Olameter.

Representatives from the gas, electric, and water utilities mingled with a number of technology firms and industry consultants. Between presentations, most of the exhibitors received significant traffic from interested prospects.

The centerpiece of the conference was its presentations. Researchers, utility executives, and industry vendors presented on topics varying from the market penetration of new technologies, technological evolutions, industry regulation, and business opportunities in energy management, metering, and billing.

Because the presentations and conversations were far above average, the current issue of the Wiglaf Journal is publishing five articles of analysis and reviews. We have been careful to ensure the articles are approachable for a general business audience. To read the full stories, visit the Wiglaf Journal online at www.wiglafjournal.com.
