Presentation to the CSA CFO Roundtable [Chicago,
19 February 2004]
"Excellent Presentation"
On February 17, Tim Smith, PhD of Wiglaf LLC and Maria
Burud of Zanon Group LLC shared in-depth insights with their presentation
entitles “Pricing Considerations, Creating a Competitive Advantage”
at the Chicago Software Associations CFO Roundtable.
Smith began the workshop with an examination of Value
Based Pricing in business-to-business markets, looking at strategic
and tactical pricing, the pricing playing field, value capture mechanism,
and the requirement to know customer demands. Burud continued the
exploration with specific case studies from software companies.
Finance officers remarked on the presentation with
high superlatives. Phrases of “Excellent Presentation”
and “You guys were great” were bantered around. Steve
Brown, CFO Roundtable Chair added "Tim and Maria delivered
a dynamic presentation, combining theory and tactics. They engaged
the Roundtable participants, the dialogue was lively, and there
were quite a few ‘Aha!’ moments."
We appreciate the support of the Chicago Software
Association and Alterian for hosting this event.
